Kathleen Mitchell

Kathleen Mitchell (Nee Hanly) was born in Ireland, and died in Manchester. She was 72 years of age when she passed away due to cancer, after a long illness, and was a nurse all her life.

My mother was an angel, in all ways. she loved my brothers, sister and I equally, when her grandchildren arrived, she again loved each and everyone equally. When we were growing up she did her best for all of us, which included working 12 hours a day, as a district nurse, just so we could have everything we neded.

She was loved by every one who knew her, family + friends alike. She'd do anything for anyone!

Now she's at peace with the rest of her family. In her family there was 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls, most of who have passed on, leaving 1 brother still alive, in Wales.


Super Mom

Mom, you were a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always made me feel I belonged.
You were patient when I was foolish;
You gave guidance when I asked;
It seems you did most anything;
You were the master of every task.
You were a dependable source of comfort;
You' were my cushion when I fell.
You helped in times of trouble;
You supported me whenever I called.
I love you more than I can express;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!
